There can be only 3 conditions where you opt for higher studies.
1. Your placements are not well, like 2lpa, 3lpa etc..
In this case join only one of the top colleges, if you do higher studies in 3rd tier colleges its not going to land you somewhere better. Continue with the 3lpa job and instead of 2 year masters, get 2 year work experience it will help in a better hike in next job.
2. You are aiming for a PhD. And you want a Dr. in your name.
In this case, forget everything about placements and jobs. Close your eyes and join anywhere in masters. But then also try to aim for a better college in PhD as well as masters.
3. You want to work in a specific field of interest like AI or Data Science, doing a specialization will always help in getting a job in it. And often with a good salary.
